Having a house built

If you’re on the island we will be delighted to meet with you personally, and to discuss what you have in mind for your new house. If you’re not on the island, feel free to give us a call, or contact us through our Dutch contractor.

Once we’ve discussed your personal wishes and designs, the next step is to sign a declaration of intent for the completion of the project. We then submit to you a preliminary design plan and a preliminary construction programme. When the technical draft is completed in full detail, we send out the request for a building permit. Needless to say that this is all done in close consultation with you, our customer. Once we have completed the final construction programme, we will send you a detailed quote, including all specifics that we have agreed with you previously, whether verbally or in writing. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the quote! If anything’s not clear we will send someone over to clarify. Once a date is set for the beginning of construction, it’s time to sign the contractor agreement. When the building permit has been awarded, construction can begin.

We will of course endeavour to complete construction within the previously arranged timeframe, and will update you on the progress we’re making constantly. If additional or indeed less work needs to be carried out than previously arranged, we will consult with you immediately.
